OptiGrid Energy was founded in 2018 in Harare, Zimbabwe, by a team of engineers and energy enthusiasts who saw a better way to power the nation. Frustrated by unreliable electricity and rising costs, we set out to make solar energy accessible to every Zimbabwean household and business.
What started as a small operation installing rooftop panels for neighbours quickly grew into one of Zimbabwe's most trusted solar contractors. Today, we have completed over 1,000 installations across the country — from residential homes in Harare's suburbs to large commercial facilities in Bulawayo, Mutare, and beyond.
